Dear Secretaries General, colleagues,

Good afternoon! First, on behalf of the WRTC Secretariat, I’d like to thank you all for coming to this meeting. I am particularly grateful to the five Regional Secretaries General. They are Basiuk, Costas, Toanoglou, Kacem and Alfaro.

Thanks to Chairman Mr. He Guangwei’s leadership, WRTC organization is being improved. The Rural Tourism School focusing on with education and training has been in operation. And, other institutions also in operations are Zhejiang Rural Tourism Academy which mainly focuses on academic research, the National Rural Tourism Monitoring Center, the Planning and Design Institute as well as the World Small Town Travelers (Win-Win) Alliance. Totally six major institutions. We have set up a secretariat in the headquarters, with a secretary general, two deputy secretaries general, an office director, as well as a conference secretary, foreign affairs secretary, administrative secretary, branding secretary and promotion secretary; a regional secretary general in each continent; and a branch secretary general in each province and city in China. In order to improve the international influence, we must standardize and improve the overall quality and service level of the secretary team, so that in the process of providing services for members, we can gain trust, resources, wealth and friendship. Therefore, the quarterly secretary-general meeting system is established. In principle, the meeting is held in the middle of the first month of each quarter. Today we are having the first secretary-general meeting. On this occasion, I’d like to share my thoughts with "six win-win".

Firstly, we work together to build a win-win platform for rural tourism development. The "six institutions" I mentioned above are the "six platforms" that we can fully lean on. Particularly, the WRTC has 220 members from 54 countries and all provinces in China. It can be said that WRTC is the "headquarter" of world rural tourism, and the secretariat, as the service guarantee of the command, has to do its best to serve the "six platforms", so that this headquarter can really become an important resource and force to unite world rural tourism, and become a grand platform for all the colleagues’ win-win result while working together for the development of the world rural tourism.

Secondly, we work together to expand a win-win market for rural tourism development. As I said, there are now 220 members. Particularly, we select 11 cities in China, and in each city, we select 16 types of tourism products from100 enterprises. We call them "Top 100 cities". Now we are trying to make them samples and typical cases for rural tourism, and promote them to the world. 220 members plus these 1,100 enterprises, and we also have dozens of enterprises in rural tourism towns around the world, so we have more than 1,300 enterprises, and we have recently established the World Rural Tourism Town Travelers (Win-Win) Alliance, and we hope you may join us. How to integrate these enterprise resources, good service, especially good promotion, so that my dear colleagues will have a win-win market for the development of the world rural tourism while providing service for the members.

Thirdly, we work together to forge a win-win brand for rural tourism development. We are doing our best to cultivate the world's highest award for rural tourism (also known as the "Oscar" for global rural tourism) - the Rural Light, while carrying out "Golden City", "Excellent City" , "Model City" and "Excellent City" branding among our members. We are also considering that we can rely on the International Rural Tourism Monitoring Center to publish the Index Report of the World Rural Tourism Development. Hopefully, we can do this job together and make a great product and brand. In this way, we will forge a win-win brand for rural tourism development.

Fourth, we work together to gather win-win wisdom for rural tourism development. In the world rural tourism town, we have built the rural tourism school, aiming to make it the top school in the world rural tourism sector. We have set up branches in each region in China, and all the secretaries-general from China are in charge of the teaching affairs. So, please make good use of this platform. Every year, you may hold at least one class for the members, either online or offline. Particularly, please organized the members in your region to attend the live classes twice a month, so that we can enhance our influence and team spirit, and gather win-win wisdom for while providing service for the members.

Fifth，we work together to accumulate win-win wealth for rural tourism development. Through the integration of resources such as platform building, marketing, branding and talent cultivation, we can truly achieve the great integration of global rural tourism resources from members first and then to the society. We have established a planning and design branch in each region in China, and all of you are in charge of it. In a word, we can make good use of these, and strive to engage in a planning and design for the members every year, and establish a product standard. So, dear colleagues, please make good use of the platform and resources, and accumulate win-win wealth for the development of the rural tourism while providing service for the members.

Sixth, we work together to operate win-win business for rural tourism development.  We have built the World Rural Tourism Town on the permanent site of the WRTC.  The town is 30 thousand square kilometers. It is not easy to relocate a village. Now the future plan of the town is underway. Our aim is by 2035, we will have achieved the goal of "10 million visitors, 10 billion revenue, 1 billion tax”, and make it the incubator of world rural tourism products, standards, academic research, talent cultivation and wealth. This town belongs to all of us. Just now I said that now the town has six institutions, namely, six platforms. The town is also your home, at which we can create business and prosperity and make friends. Relying on the town, all the colleagues may have a win-win result while providing service for the members and have a great job in rural tourism.

As a Chinese saying goes, "when walking forward day by day, we are not afraid of a thousand miles”. After the meeting, I hope that the Secretary-General can contact with your regional chairman, vice chairman, and forward the contents of today’s meeting. and finally, I’d like to end with one sentence, let’s work together to create the best Secretary-General team of the World Rural Tourism Conference, and let’s join hands to do the great business of world rural tourism, with a win-win result and making profit.
